Over 98,000 borrowers defense claims have been filed since the federal government started keeping statistics on the program in 2015. Over 75,000 of the claims have been filed were against the now defunct Corinthian Colleges (Everest College,
Heald College and Wyotech). Out of the remaining claims more then 22,000 of them were filed against for-profit universities. These statistics were released in August of 2017 and claims were averaging about 8,000 claims per month. The
schools pictured below have received some of the highest submissions of borrower’s defense claims totaling over 18,000 overall. Borrowers who feel like they were defrauded out of their education are encouraged to seek help with filing
